This garden sits next to the central square in Viseu commonly known as the “Rossio”. When I was going to high school there, this was one of my favorite places to hang out for two reasons. First in a nearby street, I always found three shoe shiners who increased their meager earnings by trading comic books which I craved (the books were piled on a beat-up suitcase). Second, that was where the sole movie theater was located, and where I first saw…oh the wonder…my first movies in Technicolor.
Aguarela, 23 x 30 cm, Papel Fabriano, Hot Press
What a lovely place, and so beautifully rendered in more than technicolor... A wonderful painting.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Mineke. I always learn a lot looking at your great work. Have a good weekend!
This is an exquisitely painted scene. I like all the fresh and vibrant colors you've integrated into the painting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brent. I like to think your expertise with painting trees has helped me a little with that difficult subject. Nevertheless, more work is required on my part.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Sunday.
