Easton, Pennsylvania
I painted these watercolors for my good friend Jonny Videira. He loves downtown Easton since the times his dad contributed for its renovation through several construction projects downtown.

Folgosinho Castle
We visited Folgosinho Castle on the slopes of Estrela Mountain in Portugal last September. It has been rehabilitated into its former glory There is now a clock in the tower, but I chose to imagine a window on the tower like I am sure it used to be a long time ago.

The Bayou, Centre Square
One of my 12x16” watercolors at the Connexions Gallery Spring Show was sold, so I painted another one to fill the spot left empty. This shows the Bayou Restaurant in Centre Square, Easton Pennsylvania.

Caramulinho
Last August we visited the Caramulo Mountains in Northern Portugal. Caramulinho is a natural rock formation at the highest point.

Red Barns
Knowing that I have a weakness for painting barns, my friend Robert Ross sent me photos of these beauties on Old Mine Road on the New Jersey side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. So, here we are.

Lost to Development
I don’t usually paint the same scene twice, but I just recently painted this in a larger size at someone’s request. This old farmhouse was torn down a few years ago to make room for a trucking depot.

Still Standing II
I heard rumors that this farm may not be around much longer, so just in case, I decided to paint it again from the other side.

Koehler Road
I used my previous pencil drawing as a value study to guide me through the watercolor process. Unclear if it did any good though.

Koehler Road
Trying to practice my “broad-stroke” pencil drawing abilities. It is very slow progress. I am reasonably happy with the sketch, but the pencil lines are too thick and therefore merge together. I want the individual lines to be visible. Next time.
