This was a commission I just finished, and the buyer was thrilled - which is always a relief.

House & Garden
This is a commissioned house portrait. Commissions are always a bit stressful and they take me twice as long to complete as normal paintings. That does not mean they come out better, but I always put in extra effort.

Hamptons Mill, Long Island, New York
Being a commission, this involved a little more attention and effort and than a regular off-the-cuff painting. This of course does not guarantee better results but in this case, I am happy with the outcome.

A Horse Named Denali
Commissioned paintings are often a little outside of my comfort zone. And that means, I learn a little bit more than usual from the painting experience.

Pinturas feitas por encomenda por vezes levam-me um pouco para fora da minha zona de comforto. Isso quer dizer que aprendo um pouco mais acima do normal com a experiência.

Alaska Summer
Watercolor 16x20" (41x51cm) Arches 300lb paper cp
Being a commissioned painting, this was a bit more stressful to paint than usual. The larger size and the profusion of vegetation weighed on me. Finishing without major snafus was a relief.
