A Serra da Estrela é, claro está, a mais alta montanha em Portugal...continental como notou o meu amigo Luis Bonito...o Pico, nos Açores é mais alto.Lembro-me do seu manto de neve nos meus Invernos infantis. Esta perspectiva é vista da aldeia de Laceiras em médio plano.
The “Serra da Estrela” (Mountain of the Star) is, of course, the highest mountain in mainland Portugal...only the Pico, (the Peak) on the Islands of Azores, is taller. I remember its snow cover from my childhood winters. This view is from the village of Laceiras, which appears in the middle ground.
