Another pleasing scene. In many of you paintings your blues are rich brilliant. Which did you use in this scene?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brent. I used Ultramarine Blue for the sea, mixed with a little Manganese Blue. I added a little Hooker's Green and also Lemon yellow near the shoreline.
ReplyDeleteI like Manganese blue a lot because it is one of the most granulating colors I know. You actually have to use just a little because it is very powerful.
Having said that, my absolutely favorite blue is Prussian Blue.
