Chegada a Lisboa

Esta pequena aguarela foi uma experiência differente para mim. Não é o tema que normalmente escolho. Mas reparei recentemente numa foto de 2004 tirada do avião enquanto este se preparava para descer sobre a Costa da Caparica e finalmemte aterrar em Lisboa. E lembrei-me das fortes emoções que tomam conta de mim sempre que esta fase do longo vôo noturno chega finalmente na madrugada Portuguesa.

This small sketch was an unusual experiment for me. It is not the theme that I normally choose for my work. But the other day I noticed a photo from 2004 taken from the airplane as it prepared for its final approach in Lisbon. And I was reminded of the excitement that I always feel when the long night flight finally arrives in the Portuguese dawn.
