Knowing that I have a weakness for painting barns, my friend Robert Ross sent me photos of these beauties on Old Mine Road on the New Jersey side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. So, here we are.

A Farm, Phillipsburg, New Jersey

I have been dragging my feet with pencil drawings even though I love this medium. I especially like the “broad-stroke” method which uses thick lines made with the pencil sharpened to a chisel point.

Tem havido pouca atividade minha na área de desenhos a lápis ainda que eu goste imenso deste meio artistico. Gosto especialmente do método “broad-stroke” (traço-largo) que usa linhas espessas com o lápis aguçado em forma de cunha.

This painting is mislabeled as Northampton County. It is actually a farm on Snyders Road, near Phillipsburg NJ (Warren County).
