Nossa Senhora do Castelo

Este Santuário fica localizado na cidade de Mangualde – antes designada Azurara da Beira até ao seculo XVIII - , no distrito de Viseu. Foi construído sobre as ruínas dum antigo castelo…daí penso ter orígem o seu nome.

This Shrine is located in Mangualde, northern Portugal. It was until the Eighteenth Century named Azurara da Beira. It was built over the site of an old castle (castelo)...hence its name.

Solar Abreu Madeira

O Solar dos Abreu Madeira, em Canas de Senhorim, Beira Alta, data do Século 18 e é um grande ponto de referência nesta Vila. Fica em frente da Igreja Paroquial.

This stately Manor House belonging to the Abreu Madeira family, dates from the 18th Century, and it is a well known landmark in the village of Canas de Senhorim, Beira Alta. It sits across from the local Parish Church.

Chaves

Passei por Chaves ou, como os Romanos a designavam, Aquae Flaviae em 2004, e a beleza da cidade forçou-me a tirar muitas fotografias. Esta casa amarela fica ao fundo da bela Ponte de Trajano que atravessa o Rio Tâmega.

I visited the town of Chaves - Aquae Flavie in Roman times - and the beauty of the town made me take a lot of pictures. This yellow house is at the end of the Roman Trajano's Bridge over the Tamega River.
