Ucanha
This quick sketch was made on my Moleskine sketchbook, with very smooth and sized paper which absorbs very little water. The paint coagulates on the surface forming unusual effects that I find appealing.

Uma Pedra Especial - A Special Rock
This rock has a special meaning to me and the people in the small village where I was born. The two small recesses look like they were left by someone’s feet. The legend goes that Our Lady Mary, while walking in these woods decided to use this rock to sit down and take a rest. Therefore the name of the village, Póvoa da Pégada. The word “Pégada” means “Track”.
