Este muito antigo mosteiro está agora transformado numa pousada. A transformação foi óbviamente feita com muito cuidado para preservar a carácter medieval desta estrutura.
This ancient monastery has been converted in a Pousada. Pousadas are typically upscale hotels inside old castles, monasteries and the like. As in this case, the conversion is very carefully planned so as to preserve the character and setting of the original structure.

Arco do Triunfo da Rua Augusta
Este monumento quase que não precisa de introdução. Separa (e une) a Praça do Comércio - mais conhecida como Terreiro do Paço – com a Rua Augusta na Baixa de Lisboa. Foi construído durante a renovação desta área depois do terramoto de 1755 promovida pelo Marquês de Pombal.
For Portuguese people, this monument needs no introduction. It is located in the Terreiro do Paço, a vast and beautiful square in Lisbon, connecting it to the Rua Augusta. This whole area was completely re-designed and re-built by the Marquês de Pombal after the devastation of the 1755 earthquake.
